I purchased a new Suzuki GSXS 750 this year, 2020, from A&M Motorcycles. Great service from the guys at A&M, made buying a new bike feel good, like it should! The bike is awesome and ticked all my boxes; for sheer pleasure and grin factor – definitely a keeper! The fueling was really good out of the box and I had no issues at all with the stock settings – good job Suzuki for effectively navigating the EU emissions regs so well. However, I knew it could be better and I knew that it would be lean as you like, so I decided to take the plunge and after some discussion with Shane at A&M, it was decided to go for a Woolich racing re-map of the ECU and the accompanying dyno set-up. I wasn’t really sure what to expect and whether this would be good value for money. Shane kept the bike for a few days while the hardware for the ECU re-map was installed and then the dyno set-up carried out. Shane really worked hard to get it just perfect; using his really amazing in depth knowledge of tuning high performance Japanese engines; honed over many years and using A&M’s extensive Dynojet rolling road tuning kit.
Conclusion: changed a really good riding experience into a sublime riding experience, the roll-on out of bends is so smooth, the pull is stronger all round, low speed/lower revs is super smooth. Horsepower gains are modest with the 750; but it’s not all about horses – it’s about the feel of the bike through varied riding styles and situations – was it worth it: yes, definitely, sounds better to with subtle pops and burbling on overrun and now the re-map hardware is installed, it’ll be easy for Shane to make small tuning adjustments to the map; when I fit a nice set of headers this winter."
